Description

The Ginunting is engineered to perform under the most demanding conditions, reflecting the discipline and operational mindset associated with the Philippine Force Recon Marines. Hand-forged from high-performance tactical steel, the blade is built for strength, reliability, and consistency where failure is not an option.

Each Ginunting is individually forged, resulting in a blade that is inherently unique. No two pieces are exactly alike—each bears the marks of a deliberate forging process focused on performance rather than mass uniformity. The Midnight Black Cerakote finish provides superior resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and environmental exposure while maintaining a low-visibility, professional profile.

Purpose-built and uncompromising, the Ginunting is a functional blade designed for practitioners who demand durability, authority, and control.

Founder’s Note - From the Founder

The Ginunting is unapologetically forward-driven, and its defining feature is the forward curve of the blade. From the tip through the edge line, the geometry continually captures and draws the cut toward the direction of the crossguard. This design maintains cutting engagement throughout the entire slashing motion rather than concentrating force at a single point.

That same forward-biased geometry allows the blade to dig in with authority while still returning rapidly after each slash. The blade does not stall or overcommit—it completes the action and resets naturally, preserving readiness and control.

This balance of continuous edge engagement, decisive forward pressure, and fast recovery is what defines the Ginunting. It is not a blade built for refinement or ornamentation, but for consistent, repeatable performance under demanding conditions.

Founder Insight

“The Ginunting digs in with authority, but what sets it apart is how quickly it returns after slashes. It delivers power without sacrificing readiness.”

Technical Breakdown - Design & Performance Characteristics

Forward Blade Curve

  • The continuous forward curve captures from the tip and draws the edge toward the crossguard, maintaining cutting engagement throughout the entire slashing path.

Weight Distribution

  • Forward-biased mass enhances slashing authority while supporting efficient recovery for rapid follow-up movement.

Blade Geometry

  • Broad, purposeful profile optimized for structural strength, edge stability, and predictable tracking.

Center of Balance

  • Tuned forward to reinforce blade presence without compromising return speed or control.

Protective Finish

  • Midnight Black Cerakote provides abrasion resistance, corrosion protection, and a low-visibility tactical appearance.

Functional Role

  • Designed for practitioners who prioritize durability, authority, and continuous readiness.

Note: Please allow a few days for processing as each blade is meticulously inspected before shipment, ensuring you receive a combat-ready tool that upholds the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

*Kamagong wood may develop slight cracks due to environmental changes. Scabbard and handle may experience slight weathering, which does not affect functionality.
