THE ORIGINAL PRADO WORKSHOP
This piece is hand-forged in the original Prado family workshop in a rural area of the Philippines. The workshop is open-air, without enclosed walls, and has an earthen floor. It is a working family forge that follows a traditional, hands-on process.
PRADO PROVENANCE
Each piece is made in the Prado family tradition according to Manuel Prado’s designs, specifications and standards. His service with Philippine Force Recon Class 001 is part of the provenance behind his knowledge of traditional Filipino blade forms.
HAND-FORGED CHARACTER
Each piece is individually forged and finished. Small variations in the steel, wood and scabbard are part of its handmade character. Kamagong may develop slight checking as humidity changes; this does not affect the integrity of the piece.
